Attract bees to your garden with Anise Hyssop (Agastache foeniculum). This herbaceous perennial and native wildflower is a member of the mint family. It grows 2 to 4 feet tall and produces dense flower spikes and licorice scented leaves. Bees can’t get enough of it! Ditto for hummingbirds and butterflies.

American Goldfinches love anise hyssop seeds and perch on the stems to delicately pluck them out.

Anise hyssop self sows freely and is easily transplanted. An ideal plant for the low-maintenance garden, it thrives in full sun and well drained soil.
