Roses love this stuff
I’m sharing tips, recommendations and other cool stuff about roses all month long because so many roses are at their best now.
Roses are heavy feeders and fertilizing them is essential.
What should you feed your roses?
I find the best rose fertilizers to be organic. Chemical fertilizers claim to produce the biggest blooms, but organics deliver on the same promise, build and enrich the soil, are better for the environment and for you.
I’ve been using Coast of Maine compost for several years, top dressing roses with their Quoddy Lobster Compost. The results are impressive: super healthy plants that survive harsh winters and roses that bloom profusely over a long season.
More on what to feed your roses ― and when ― in my next post.
