‘Hadspen Blue’

If you want to create a blue themed garden, by all means include blue hostas. Just be aware that these cultivars need part- to full-shade and moist soil to thrive. Otherwise, like all hostas, they’re easy care perennials.

Blue hostas retain their color throughout the growing season, and when they bloom in mid- to late-summer, their lavender to white flowers complement the foliage beautifully.  More on blue hostas in my next post.
